Ajit Kumbhare

Ajit founded Fresh Gravity in January 2015 with the vision to build a world-class organization that makes innovative, cutting-edge technologies accessible to clients of all sizes and enables them to solve their most critical business challenges.
 
For the past two decades, Ajit has had a history of success helping Fortune 500 companies leverage technology across numerous industries. Prior to starting Fresh Gravity, Ajit founded Serene Corporation in 2003 and served as its CEO for 12 years. Ajit also sits on the board of ThoughtSphere, Inc. and VisageMap, Inc.
 
Ajit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
 

Nilesh Dhingra

Co-Founder And Co-CEO

As Fresh Gravity’s Co-founder and Co-CEO, Nilesh envisions a top notch global consulting firm that will be known for its business and technical knowledge, adaptability to client needs and professionalism.
 
In a career spanning over 20 years in business and technology consulting, Nilesh has worked for companies like Sapient and Accenture. At Accenture, where he spent close to 10 years, Nilesh was a part of the systems integration group. He also held global leadership positions in SOA and API Management focus areas. Over the years, he has played advisory roles to many Fortune 500 C-level executives. He has experience in delivering successful projects for clients like JP Morgan Chase, Blue Cross Blue Shield, U.S. Marines, American Express, Centene, Pepco and DDoT.
 
Nilesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and an M.S. in Transportation Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. Nilesh is based in the Washington, D.C. area.
 

John Abel

John Abel has 25 years of experience in the IT industry working in global Fortune 500 companies managing teams of over 300 people and budgets of over $200M.
 
Since 2008, John has been at Hitachi Data Systems where, he currently serves as Sr. Vice President of IT. At HDS John developed a strategic vision for the transformation of IT, and executed multiple global initiatives to enable growth in revenues from $2.5B to over $4B while reducing IT costs through effective governance processes.
 
John has an excellent record of achieving business results by developing strong business relationships, building high quality teams, and good fiscal management. He has also had extensive M&A integration experience gained throughout this career and plays a key role in customer advocacy at HDS by explaining how his organization runs Hitachi on Hitachi.
 
Prior to joining HDS, John was Vice President, Information Technology at Symantec Corporation where he led the integration and consolidation of applications following the $13.5B merger with Veritas Software. Prior to Symantec, John was at JDS Uniphase (JDSU) where he served in two different roles, as Director or Global IT, and previously Director of Finance Shared Services. Before that he spent 7 years with KPMG Consulting managing large ERP implementations for Global clients.
 
John is a citizen of both the US and European Union, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom, and has spoken at several conferences on global IT best practices.
 

Pushkin Kachroo

Dr. Pushkin Kachroo is the Lincy chaired Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and also the director of the Menden hall Innovation Center in the Howard Hughes College of Engineering at UNLV. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from University of California at Berkeley performing research in Vehicle Control in 1993, and obtained another Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech in the area of hyperbolic system of partial differential equations with applications to Traffic Control and Evacuation.
 
He has authored 10 books on traffic and vehicle control. He has authored more than 120 publications that include books, research papers,and edited volumes. He has taught about 30 different courses in Virginia Tech in the areas of electrical and computer engineering, and mathematics. Similarly, he also taught more than 30 different courses at UNLV since 2007. He has been the advisor of more than 45 graduate degrees of students, and has been P.I. or Co P.I. on projects worth more than 4 million dollars. He was awarded the most outstanding new professor at Virginia Tech, and also has received many teaching awards and certificates, both at Virginia Tech and UNLV. He also received the faculty excellence award from CSUN UNLV in 2011. Dr. Kachroo was a visiting Professor at the University of California at Berkeley in 2013 researching with the dean of the college of engineering, Dr. Shankar Sastry. He also was the recipient of College Distinguished Researcher Award, Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering, UNLV, in 2014, as well as the Barrick Distinguished Scholar Award, UNLV also in 2014.
 

Dr. Kachroo has developed hands-on modules for many classes to help develop hands-on education that fosters product development. He has developed many products from his research that are being actively used in applications. He has been in various newspaper and magazine articles, TV and radio interviews, including N.P.R. at many occasions. He works closely with faculty from other departments and colleges, such as the college of science, and the Lee Business School. He has worked on various projects in transportation in Nevada, such as those related to: incident management, seat belt surveys( for the Office of Traffic Safety), flow detector validation, performance measurements etc. He also has had projects from federal agencies such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), e.g. the project on people evacuation, and one on plug-in electric hybrid vehicles. His research covers the entire gamut from completely hands-on product development that is immediately deployable to deep fundamental mathematical research in the field.
