Women cheering

Written by Manasi Kaushik, Marketing Manager

In a world of digital pings and back-to-back calendar invites, where water-cooler chats are rare, it’s easy to forget that the person behind the screen is more than just a job title or a project update. Today, the women in Fresh Gravity’s India team gathered virtually to celebrate International Women’s Day, and the “office” felt a little warmer.

The session was steered by the incredible Arzoo, who, despite the quiet discipline of her Ramadan fast, radiated an energy that bridged the miles between us. Her thoughtful and engaging questions made the hour fly by, leaving us all wishing for just a little more time in that shared space. The session was a reminder that while we work to live, it is our passions, the ones we nurture in the early mornings or late nights, that truly make us come alive.

To truly understand the depth of this “life outside the laptop,” one only had to listen to the lived experiences of our incredible four panelists:

The Strength in the Lift: Amisha

Amisha began by challenging the traditional image of feminine wellness. For her, strength isn’t just a metaphor; it’s iron and sweat. What started as a whim in college when a new gym was built has evolved into a non-negotiable lifestyle.

She reminded us that movement is medicine. Looking at her photo (below), you don’t just see a lifter; you see the discipline that she brings into every strategy and solution at work.

The Melody of Legacy: Smita

Then, the room seemed to soften as Smita spoke of her love for music. A harmonium, gifted at an early age, wasn’t just an instrument; it was a dream passed down from her father. He couldn’t play it as a child, so he ensured she could. And she did, and how!

She spoke of how a teacher in elementary school acted as the wind beneath her wings, pushing her to break barriers and step onto stages that others might find daunting.

For Smita, music is the ultimate reset button. Whether it’s a quick raga between intense calls or a soulful melody after a long day, the notes act as a “stress buster” that works like a charm. To hear her voice is a rare gift, I can say this because she sang an all-time favorite song (of mine and many others) – Lag Ja Gale and I think I can say this for all present, we breathed calm breaths, all in sync. If you are inspired to listen to her, all you need to do is get on calls with her and watch your stress melt away.

The Grace of Ambition: Simran

Simran walked us through a life lived at high speed and high art. A state-level athlete, a Kathak dancer, and Miss Universe, Maharashtra (2025), she embodies the idea that we contain multitudes and that if you put your mind into it, there is nothing stopping you.

Her journey was a reminder that the discipline of an athlete and the poise of a performer are the secret ingredients to showing up authentically in every sphere of life.

Seeing her at the Miss Universe pageant (pictured here) is a lesson in confidence.

The Healing Stroke: Nandini

Finally, Nandini took us into the sanctuary of her beautiful paintings. For her, painting is more than a hobby; it is a vital form of expression and a way to navigate life’s complexities with grace. Art became her lighthouse, a quiet space where she could reconnect with her inner self and find balance.

She taught us that inspiration isn’t a rare commodity; it’s everywhere, from the stark, beautiful “barren” lands of Southern Australia to the brushstrokes of a peer. For Nandini, art isn’t just a hobby; it’s proof of the resilience of the female spirit.

Our Collective Canvas: The Takeaways

As the session drew to a close, a beautiful realization settled over the virtual room: Women are not meant to fit into a single role.

  • Multitasking as Creativity: Our ability to juggle isn’t just about efficiency; it’s a creative act that keeps us sane.
  • Identity Beyond Titles: We are mothers, daughters, and colleagues, yes; but we are also lifters, singers, athletes, and artists. These passions don’t distract us from our work; they fuel it.
  • The Courage to “Just Try”: The most resonant advice was the simplest: just try. Whether it’s that pottery class you’ve eyed for years or a new sport, the victory is in the trying, not the perfection.

So, I am going to go sign up for the resin art class that I have been wanting to take since eons. Who else is joining me?

A Culture That Sees Us

It is rare to find a workplace that doesn’t just tolerate our outside interests but actively encourages and celebrates them. In many corporate spaces, your “other” life is kept in the shadows, but here, it is brought into the light. This is Fresh Gravity, a place like no other, where we understand that our talents outside the office don’t compete with our work; they complete us.
